Bullock Built, Inc. is a Florida Licensed Certified General Contractor (CGC).
Definition of a CGC: A contractor whose services are unlimited as to the type of work which they may do. A CGC may contract for any activity requiring licensure (except as otherwise expressly provided in Fl. Statues S. 489.113).
Being a licensed CGC in Florida also means that we meet the State’s requirements which includes being financially responsible, carrying insurance and being of sound character. It also means having a broad and specific knowledge of building codes, as well as an overall understanding of the principles of construction contracting:
- Contract Administration
- Preconstruction Activities
- Project Contracts
- Obtaining Licenses, Permits and Approvals
- Construction Procedures and Operations
- Project Management
- Construction methods, materials, tools, and equipment
- Safety (OSHA)
A general contractor is responsible for any construction (or alteration) of a structural component of a building or structure. Also as a CGC we may perform site work such as clearing and grubbing, grading, and excavation for any construction project in the State.
As a CGC we may also perform the construction of what’s called underground work, sometimes done by an Underground Utility Contractor. This includes, for example, a main sanitary sewer collection system, storm collection system, or water distribution system, (not including the continuation of utility lines from the mains to the buildings) and we may perform any of the services, on public or private property.
Every project has different needs and we will tailor specific solutions using the best combination of our staff and skilled tradesman.
As a basic rule of thumb, any specialized trades would be done by our trusted sub-contractors for things such as electrical, plumbing, A/C, solar panels and roofing. We coordinate and oversee their work while relying on the specialized trades to do the type of work they know best.
Given the above, our construction company can deliver your project may it be big or small.
